اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّی لَکَ صُمْتُ وَبِکَ اٰمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْکَ تَوَکَلَّتُ وَعَلَی رِزْقِکَ اَفْطَرْتُ

Urdu Translation

اے اﷲ! بے شک میں نے تیرے لیے روزہ رکھا اور تجھ پر ایمان لایا اور تجھ پر ہی بھروسہ کیا اور تیرے ہی عطا کیے ہوئے رزق سے میں نے افطار کی۔

English Translation

O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.

Fasting Ramadan
The month of blessings known as Ramadan Kareem. It holds importance among all other months in the Islamic Calendar. Throughout the month Muslims are bound to follow good deeds. Helping others, feeding poor and sharing is the common thing this month. This month is ended with a celebration called Eid-ul-Fitr. Muslims fast from the fajr prayers by offering Dua for Sehar and ends their fast in the evening at the time of Magrib by offering Dua for Iftar.

Dua for Iftar is mandatory to recite when it is the time of Magrib. Fasting is obeyed before rising sun and end in the evening at the time of Magrib prayer. Dua for Iftar is recited to have the meal or to open the fast. Muslims are not allowed to drink or eat while they are fasting. The whole day is observed by Islamic rules. Muslims in the whole world fast according to their time of respective areas. Children fast in their small age on which they are appreciated by elders. Iftar ceremony is arranged in the home on which gifts are presented to children so they get happy to prolong their fast as much they could.

Iftar is the time when Muslims are allowed to have a meal after the whole day is gone. At Iftar time Dua for Iftar is recited to open fast. Right after Iftar time Magrib prayer is offered and then next Isha. This month is ended with the celebrations of Eid Ul Fitr on 1st Shawwal.
