The announcement has been made for Eid al-Fitr holidays in the United Arab Emirates. According to Arab media, the holidays will start from April 20th for both government and private sector employees.
The UAE Federal Authority has also issued a statement saying that the Eid al-Fitr holidays will be from Ramadan 29th to Shawwal 3rd, 1444H (corresponding to April 29th to May 3rd, 2023) for private sector employees in the country.
Experts in astronomy in the UAE predict that Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on April 21st, with the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal taking place on Thursday, April 20th, which can be seen 22 minutes after sunset.
