Abu Dhabi: The working hours of the month of Ramadan have been released for public sector employees in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to a report by the Arab News Agency, the working hours of government employees in the public sector under the federal government in the UAE have been reduced in line with the holy month of Ramadan.
The UAE government says employees will work four days a week from 9am to 2pm during the month of Ramadan, while Fridays will be from 9am to 2pm.
The UAE Ministry of Manpower will soon issue new working hours timetable for private sector workers as well.
Astronomers say the blessed month of Ramadan in other countries, including the Arab states, is likely to begin on April 2 and end on May 1.
